Workshops

Before becoming an artist printmaker full time, I was a Secondary school Art teacher for 15 years.  I love teaching and to me, sharing the skills of printmaking with others is one of the best bits of my job!

I am experienced at teaching in different school settings and can offer workshops for students from primary school to A Level, and of all abilities.  To the right you can read a little about what I can offer, but all the workshops can be customised to suit the learner and setting.

In addition to this, all of these workshops can be transferred to a more bespoke corporate or private setting too.

Please get in contact via the CONTACT ME section on the website for more information.

Lino

Lino workshops can focus on specific skills like cutting a simple one colour block, inking up and printing a block right the way through to more advanced skills like reduction Lino and multi block prints.

Collagraph

Collagraph is a really exciting printmaking technique that can combine both intaglio and relief processes.  There is much scope to explore texture, surfaces and tone with this process.  Students will be taught how to create a simple block and the different methods of inking up and then there is opportunity to explore the potential this media has to offer.  For this workshop, you would need access to a small printmaking press.

Drawing

Drawing is embedded in my own practice, but can be one of the most difficult and intimidating parts of art-making for a lot of people.  I love offering drawing workshops that change the notion of what drawing can or should be.  These workshops can be tailored to suit the learner and can be short or extended sessions.  They will always be fun and will engage students in the process of drawing.
